| hoofdstuk3:hoe moet een moderator zich gedragen | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
gedrag chatters en moderators: | ChatPoint is a fast growing community and is free for everybody. However the chat is sometimes disturbed by people with the intention to cause problems for others. For this reason we can give trusted members the ability to remove people who disbehave. These higher privileged chatters (moderators) will appear in the chat with a blue name-sign. Chatters are not allowed to: * repeatedly curse or use offensive language * harrasse other users * discriminate or express other similar behaviour * continiously post similar messages (manually or through bots) * advertise for commercial products or services The following steps are taken in case of abuse (by a moderator): 1. watch the chatter for a while 2. try to persuade the chatter to stop disbehaving 3. if this does not work after repeatedly asking the chatter, kick the chatter out of ChatPoint Moderator guidelines. * Follow the same rules you enforce * Give people a second chance to behave * Dont remove people immediately from a room after they've been kicked out and come back * Try to avoid fights as a result of kicking (try to be polite) If a certain user continues to break rules after warning and kicking send a message describing the problem to [email protected]. If ChatPoint receives enough complaints about a certain moderator chances are that ChatPoint will remove this person's moderator status. If this happens the user will lose his/her moderator status permanently.
